AK-47 by avitar270 AK-47 by avitar270
The AK-47 (contraction of Russian: Автомат Калашникова образца 1947 года; Avtomat Kalashnikova obraztsova 1947 goda; "Kalashnikov's automatic rifle model of year 1947") is a 7.62 mm assault rifle developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov in two versions: the fixed stock AK-47 and the AKS-47 (S—So skladnym prikladom) variant equipped with an underfolding metal shoulder stock. Design work on the AK began in 1944. In 1946 the rifle was presented for official military trials, a year later the fixed stock version was introduced into service with select units of the Red Army (the folding stock model was developed later). The AK-47 was officially accepted by the Soviet Armed Forces in 1949. It is also used by the majority of the member states of the former Warsaw Pact. The AK-47 was also used as a basis for the development of countless many other types of individual and crew-served firearms. It was one of the first true assault rifles and, due to its durability and ease of use, remains the most widely used assault rifle in the world. More AK-type rifles have been produced than any other assault rifle.

M-4 SOPMOD is a better weapon, but AKs are cheaper.

it has better range and muzzle velocity, plus its easier to modify, but if I had to really choose, it'd be the Barrett REC7 in 6.8mm SPC

lol, sadly the M40 does not come in .338 lapua magnum, the M24 can come in .300 Winchester Magnum, but in any case the M40 is nothing more than a heavy barrled version of the R700, they're essentially the same gun

You need to do your homework a little more. The M-40 rifle is a modified Remington 700 M40x rifle with a heavier barrel, fiberglass stock, and accurized trigger, plus other modifications that the Marine Corps armourers do to the weapon. It can be chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO or 338.Lapua. The 338 round is used for long range, anti-material applications such as taking out vehicles and equipment, and can be used,in accordance to geneva convention rules, to take out enemy personell too. The M-24 rifle the Army's version of a bolt action sniper weapons system and most generally fires a 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge, though I do not know of a 300.win mag version, the 308(7.62mm NATO) round is the most common in that platform. ok, my bad, but again essentially the gun is the same, it was built on the same platform, just beefed up, as for the .338 Lapua Magnum, well thats something new to me, and the R700 can come in composite as well, and yes there are version of the M24 that use the .300 Win. Mag.
also Marine armorers tend to modify the gun to its duty, so obviously its going to be different than the gun its based off of, its a military rifle, the R700 is a hunting rifle, the M40 needs to be built tougher to handle the rough conditions of war

And I'm not a Marine, no offense got plenty of friends that are, but I'm from an Army family

Amazingly this gun has never jammed even in war it was reliable and every time you'd pull the trigger there's a 99% chance of it going off,
Sadly I couldn't find an AK BB gun with folding stock all I found was the Dragunov SVD BB gun
Carbine and (even though its only a derivative from the Autimatif Kolashnikov Family)
even if it is expensive i still bought it US$110 = Php5,364
So accurate within 500 yards
:headbang:
Nice Image though!
